Shereen + Lynn = 10 years!

July 8th, 2001~~engagement...so romantical.  One surprise after another!  Lynn is so good at surprising me...still.  Brunch at Nicolet island Inn, Minneapolis.  Then an amazing horse-drawn carriage ride over Stone Arch Bridge over the Mississippi River.  We stopped half way over and Lynn got down on his knee and asked me to marry him...I said, "Yes, of course!!"

December 1st, 2001~~wedding day

So I've been waiting to do this post for 4 days....I want to tell you all about what i remember from our wedding...but I need to take the time I have and put down what I can!!

What an amazing dreamy day!!!  That is how I've always described our wedding.  In fact I've never watched our wedding video yet because I'm afraid reality might not be exactly how I remember our wedding...crazy I know but I will watch it soon.

Thanks to my incredible Mom and her friends who planned much of it since I was in the Twin Cities living and working.  I know I don't know all the details and work she did to make it work.  Dad thanks for supporting Mom and Lynn and I.  And just making things happen...like getting our video of pics to work the night before our wedding.

Thanks to all of you who showed your love and excitement for us by coming to our wedding or sharing in our pure joy during this time of our lives.

Our wedding took place in Marshfield, Wisconsin at the church were I went to youth group growing up.  My church I grew up going too was a little small and didn't have a place for our dinner reception.

Lynn Alan...

I am reaffirmed over and over again that Lynn loves me....i am so completely blessed to have a husband who is a Godly leader of our relationship and family, he would do anything for me and I know that.

Lynn treats me like a beautiful princess.

Well...here are some pics from our wedding.  Lynn scanned them for me.  Ours were taken on film.  One of my projects in the next year should be to scan them all.

Lynn waiting for me at the front of the church

Dad...what a special moment this was...I will never forget it

my Grandma Fast flew from Oregon to be here....so incredibly special

And now for one of my fave pics that has been on my fridge since the pics was taken....my sister Shawna's wedding in 2004
It's been so fun to share these with you

Violet Mercy is 6 months today!!

My "little V",  "pretty pants", "babycita"

Oh my....our little baby is 6 months...she is so precious and I love her so much.  She gives such good hugs and so many smiles.  Her sisters love to hold her and pick up all the toys she "throws" on the floor.  They like to put hats on her and make her smile and basically include her in on their play.  She seems to love it except when Abigail sat on her the other day!!  She doesn't get mad when someone takes a toy of hers yet...but that day is coming soon!  She will NOT take a bottle and will NOT seem to swallow much baby food that I give her.  So I have quit!!  For the time being :-)  She will take it when she is ready!  She is a strong healthy baby and we LOVE HER so much!!

Doing my laundry!

Madeline made her a hat!

She is definitely a thumb sucker!!

Cousin Emily Joy Buck arrives!!!

My precious little niece is finally here!!  She came when she was ready...but later than my sister Shawna would have liked!!  Violet and I got to go and visit her and hold and love her up.  I'm so excited for Shawna and Jeff.  I'm proud of Shawna and delivering her 3rd baby!  And she was  9lbs and 10 oz, 22 inches long!  Wow!

Here she is!!  I wish I had a better pic of her but she is absolutely adorable and so precious and holdable!!  and kissable and squeezable and snuggly and ..... I could keep going.  I told Lynn that when I go visit I'll be excited for another little girl...ha ha!!

Violet is 5 1/2 months
Emily Joy is 3 days old!

Emily has beautiful, well defined eyebrows and dark hair!
John  and Julia spent the week at my parents house in Wis....so nice to start a baby like this!!  You are awesome Mom and Dad!!

Our Princess, Elliana Joy

Isaiah 43:4
"you are precious and honored in my sight"

Elliana is our princess :-)

Elliana turned 6 yesterday October 17th.  Can I really have a 6 year old???  How does this happen so fast.  I'm sure some of you are thinking....yes and all mine are much older than 6!!

I have such special memories of Elliana.  She started a whole new world for Lynn and I.  We are so blessed to have a vibrant and growing daughter.  She has slipped into the "big sister" role easily and can be such a help to me and playmate to her sisters.  She loves to hold Violet and entertain her.  She is learning what it means to love God and glorify him.  Elliana can say John 3:16 so well.  She is incredibly creative and wants everything that I seem to want to throw away...just to "make a craft."  She is determined and very focused.  She loves to give concerts in the livingroom and sing her heart out, making up songs as she goes.

We are so proud of her and are continuing to learn how to be the best parents we can be to our children.

Elliana had quite the birthday celebrations:
1) October 9: Gpa Gary and Gma Rachel bring DQ princess icecream cake over and visit!
2) October 14: Gma Lynette comes over the for day!
3) October 14-15:  sleepover at Auntie Heidi's with swimming and MOA build a bear!
4) October 15: make fall sugar cookies with Auntie Heidi!
5) October 16: Family comes over to celebrate..Uncle Robert, Auntie Kasey, Uncle Matt, Auntie Amanda, Uncle Jeff, Auntie Shawna, cousin John, cousin Julia!
6) October 17: Go to apple orchard with the Johnson family!

I laughed at her choice of cereal...they get to choose for their birthday!  They were pink though!
