My New (to me!) table!!

I was so excited to find this table on Craig's list a couple weeks ago.  Our dining room chairs were going down as in breaking apart one by one!  I kneeled on one and it completely broke the leg off recently!!  So I started in search of 6 new/used chairs.  Well the first search I did one Sat afternoon this set of 6 chairs with the table came up.  I didn't think I was going to get it because of the price.  But lo and behold...the guy called me after a bit and I said, "we'll come and look at it this evening!"  So we did and got it for even less.  Lynn was a trooper to go back later and get the rest of the chairs.

So then Lynn brought home all these beautiful daffodils for us.  Every year he brings them home before they are open and we watch them bloom.  I think it's a fundraiser at work for something.  But I forget every year and am surprised by him bringing them home!!!

This year he had to get enough for all of us girls!  Good thing he did too.  They all wanted their own vase too!!!!  Including Abigail.  Then each meal they all wanted them right infront of their plates.   Funny!!

Easter Cookie Day with Auntie Heidi!

Heidi planned ahead because she is going to be gone on a trip to South America for a few weeks!!  She made a point to come over last Saturday to make and frost cookies with Elliana, Madeline, and Abigail.  I even frosted a few.  My favorite was the bright green frosting with pink sugar sprinkles on top!

They always look forward to Cookie Day with Auntie Heidi so much that I can't tell them too far ahead of time!  It's a memory maker and their special thing together.  Abigail won't be left out either now.  She usually eats the frosting and loves being involved.

Thank you Heidi for memories and yummy cookies for a week!

Great Grandma Jean comes over!

Grandma Jean (Lynn's Gma) came over to visit this morning before traveling down to IL for a visit with one of her daughters.  We enjoyed a whole morning with her.  She is so pleasant and loving.  She absolutely loves the girls and enjoyed all of their action today.

No, Gma didn't push them all!!

Naptime!

Elliana was given a book called, "Chrysanthemum" when she was born from my good friend Melissa.  We like to read it of course.  It is about a little girl (characters are actually mice) who is made fun of because of her name.  Well when the mice all take naps at school we noticed something about how a couple of the mice sleep on their mats.  I think it is so funny!!  The girls claimed that they wanted to sleep like that too and for me to take a picture while they were sleeping this afternoon.   Ha Ha!!  I instead took one of them before they fell asleep.

Elliana is Glued back together!!

Notice her Right eyebrow
Elliana fell to the tiled, concrete floor face first while she was at AWANA Cubbies this past Sunday night!  Her actual lens of her glasses put a slice into her eyebrow.   I was only two doors down and was able to be with her shortly.  After quite a few tears and sobs she was able to join her group again with just a bandaid on the cut.  When we got home Lynn and I thought we should clean it out and check it since it seemed to still be bleeding a bit.  It was deeper and wider than what we expected.  We decided it was best to take her to the ER to get it stitched.  Lynn was concerned that she would have a scare and is protective of his girls :-)

Well after waiting 3 hours in ER the doctor was able to simply "glue" her up instead of having stitches.  PTL!  She will still probably have a scare but it is in her eyebrow at least....part of life and being a child!!  I have a scare in my right eyebrow too from my glasses when I was in 6th grade.  So Elliana and I will have stories to share together!!

A beautiful day to be OUTSIDE!!!

Abigail eating the snow!!
We are having some warmer weather and on this day we took advantage of it and went outside to play for a while.  Elliana and Madeline are always up for it and usually I just stay inside with Abigail.  However, it was so nice that I dug out the smallest boots I have (3 sizes to big!!) and put them on AbigaI and went out with her.  She absolutely loved it and since then has been carrying around her boots when possible and trying to put them on.  What a good memory of what those boots mean to her!  Since the boots were too big she couldn't actually move too well so she pretty much tried to pick up snow (with her thumbless mittens!) and EAT it.  This suited E and M will because they were busy building their snowmen and A would have tried to "help" in any way.  Meanwhile, I enjoyed being outside so much that I made myself useful and did some more shoveling on our driveway.  I tried to throw the snow up on the bank right by the street.  It was so high the snow just kept tumbling down right where I had picked it up!  So I got smart and threw it into the street and it melted quickly.  I LOVE spring...it is coming!

My Singing Idols!!

Elliana and Madeline love to sing!!  I occasionally have to tell them to not sing at the table when we are eating.  They have what they call "shouters" which they like to sing into and have a recital or concert.  So they sang a song they heard Sunday morning at church and just belted it out.  Then Elliana sang a song she made up just this evening.

On another note, Lynn gave Elliana a belt he had when he was a boy.  It has his name on it too.  So she proudly wears it about every other day.  Here she has the belt strapped around a bunch of her giraffes around her!  She is only actually holding the two you see her holding!  The silly, creative minds they have!

Monday night at our house!

Elliana is the "mommy" and Abigail happily playing the "baby!!"

Abigail being a good "baby" in the dolly buggy

Madeline and Lynn have a thing about giving each other "funny faces."  Here is one!
Funny faces are hard to get at the right time on camera!!!!  This was a "good" one
In the evenings while I'm cleaning up after dinner Lynn and the girls have a really good time together.  We want to do things together as a family and not have each doing their own thing.  Sometimes it's wrestling of various methods on the livingroom floor, or Lynn is on the recliner and they are all over him.  One sits in the "birdies nest and the other two where they can find a spot.  Elliana started playing with Lincoln Logs and trying to build in the livingroom....not the time or the place for that!!! One name...ABIGAIL!!  So pretty soon she came up with the idea to take care of Abigail like her own baby.  This time Abigail had a super time being pushed around and doted on.  It was quite the scene.  Meanwhile Madeline likes her tummy time with Daddy and the silly faces came out.  Her love language may very well be touch.  (The Five Love Languages is a good book and I would recommend it for any relationships...there is a version out about children's love languages).

So what do I do????  I simply watch and laugh very hard at times...it is such a wonderful time to be together and enjoy each other.

Sunday Morning!!

I took out Elliana and Madeline's sponge curlers Sunday morning.  Within 2 minutes each their hair was done and absolutely beautiful!  Really it's not that hard!
